Melinda Doolittle to perform in DC!

Melinda will be coming to my stomping grounds and perform in Washington at the Kennedy Center to perform for wounded military.

Season 6's Top 3 finalist, Melinda Doolittle, will appear at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC, on Monday, June 8, 2009, at 8:00P for an all-star evening of music hosted by Amy Grant and Vince Gill. The event is being held to honor wounded warriors and launch the nationwide Challenge America initiative. Challenge America will work with communities across America to support the development of recreational and occupational programs for returning injured military personnel and their families. Doolittle will appear with other special musical guests including Michael McDonald, Alison Krauss, Darius Rucker, and Mac McAnally.

Three months ago, Melinda released her debut CD, "Coming Back to You." She has performed for former President Bush and has done charity work in Africa with former First Lady Laura Bush.
